Know a book-to-film that should be on the blog?
Just post the name of both the book and prospective film (even if the film hasn't been confirmed) and it'll be up on the blog soon.
Just a reminder that this blog is currently just blogging about book-to-movies currently in production (From Sept 2011) not previous book-to-movies. Once the movie is out there will be a review and then I'll move on from posting about it and look towards other book-to-movie productions. (Don't worry I won't delete anything)
Thanks for your help! :)

Perks Of Being A Wallflower
Perks of Being a Wall Flower:
Perk Number 1: Just kidding, Perks of Being a Wall Flower is set to be released sometime 2012 but an exact date is yet to be set.
The synopsis of Perks of Being a Wallflower: Tells the story of an introvert freshman named Charlie who is taken on the wings by his friends Sam and Patrick, who welcome him to the world of sex, drugs and complicated relationships.
As with all the books on this blog it is recommended that you read it before the movie comes out.
Perks of Being a WallFlower stars Logan Lerman as the main character Charlie. As pictured here:
His co-stars include Emma Watson (who incidentally stared in another book-to-movie Harry Potter) who plays Sam; Charlie's best friend that Charlie is in love with.
Paul Rudd plays Bill, Charlie's english teacher that provides Charlie with books that influence him.
Ezra Miller plays Patrick, Charlie's best friend who is Sam's step-brother.
Perks of Being a Wallflower is a Teen Drama/Romance movie following the life of a 15 year-old boy, a movie the directors promise is true to the book. Lets hope all movies are.
Perks of Being a Wallflower won the YALSA Best Young Adult book award.

Vampire Academy
Vampire Academy:
Its right in saying that there are many, many, many Vampire Academy fans out there. It is also right in saying that any book with that amount of fans (very crazy and enthusiastic ones) will have cause to become a film.
It is for this reason that this page has been created. Because rumors are flying everywhere.
As of September 4 2011, this is what we know:
- Preger Entertainment has acquired the film rights to Vampire Academy. So now they're just sitting pretty.
- Although Preger entertainment is trying to auire a studio and crew, they have so far made no deals.
About this much is stated on the author Richelle Mead's page:
An author can't just decide to make a movie, not unless she has $50 million sitting around or her own studio! A studio needs to agree to take the project and invest the money. Right now, VA film rights are in the control of Preger Entertainment, who is trying to get a studio on board. Until that happens, there is no filming, no script, and NO casting happening. Everything is on hold. So far, there have been no studio deals, likely because this a vampire saturated market. So, the short answer to this question is, "I don't know." :) Read this post to get the facts on that and this interviewwhere they answer popular questions. Preger also maintains an active Facebook page with updates. IMDB has a page with a release date, but that's just a placeholder. There is no real date yet because nothing is in production.
So it looks like Vampire Academy Fans may just have to wait.
